I’m making a 1.1 osy silpoly flat tarp for a friend and have sewn a flat felled seam for the ridgeline. My plan is to add three tie out points along the ridge, but wanted to know how folks reinforce them. The seam is already sewn, I was thinking of bonding a circle of the tarp fabric on the underside, only problem is getting those areas to stay taut while the sealant cures. What have others done to reinforce tie outs on the ridge seam?

    put a weight on it?

sew around close to the edge, then apply sealant underneath?

Ha! Yes, I wasn’t very clear on my main concern, I’ll weigh the reinforcement piece down to bond it for sure. Thanks. Maybe this is a dumb question too but bonding the circle across the ridge seam works ok? I’ve only ever done grosgrain in a v shape on edges which didn’t feel like the right thing across the ridge stitching.
