So apparently my skills at searching the interwebs are luddite-level.
Does anyone have a video (or a link to a video) for how to make a bathtub floor???? I just can’t seem to figure out how to do the corners without tons of extra fabric. Maybe a pattern somewhere??
It seems like it should be so simple, but i just can’t seem to get it right.

After you cut your fabric to the desired dimensions you’ll have a rectangle. Then, you cut squares off each corner and finally fold up and sew.

I wasn’t cutting off the squares in the corners…i was trying to fold it like I was wrapping a present. I couldn’t envision how to do it otherwise.
Sometimes even the most simple things escape me…………

When I make my bathub floors, I don’t even cut any material off at the corners…I just fold it over and use that extra material to attach shockcord for pulling it towards the stakes.
I have a pretty detailed album (http://imgur.com/a/q9Q2v) that shows a lot of the “features” of a MYOG tent I made…There are a few pictures specifically showing the corners of the bathtub floor that should help in visualizing what I’m talking about with “folding the corners”. For this tent, I folded the extra material over twice instead of just once…either work well.
Method 2 — Toggle corners
Someone (not me) posted their bathtub floor to reddit a few months back and they had cut the corners, then sewnusing some small poles (called toggles in the hammock community) at each corner. It definitely looks better but performance won’t be much different.

I think that both methods work out really well. It just depends how you want to go about it.

First, hem all around.
Then, if you want a 1 inch bathtub, mark a 1 inch square in each corner (that is, draw two lines). Then sew those two lines together and you’ll have a bathtub floor.
Jordo’s idea looks pretty good.
