Does anyone have an alternative source for the 5/8” centre release buckles used on EE quilts? I need to sew a new set of straps to fit a double wide pad and although EE does sell the buckles their shipping charges to Canada are close to criminal for something that would fit in a letter envelope.
I’ve been using 3/4″ sized ones on my quilts from RBTR, but have also looked for a smaller size. It seems Strapworks carries 1/2″ size, and I found a seller on Etsy that sells the 5/8″ size.
Well, if you can’t find a Canadian source, I am happy to order some and send a few to you at the cost of me dropping them in the mail. Just PM me if you end up wanting to do that.
That’s a very generous offer. EE have replied to my contact and are going to ship me some by letter mail. Feeling a bit less grumpy! I know shipping can be expensive for small suppliers but I wish more companies would provide options for small orders. Shipping by letter mail is a pretty cheap option for goods costing less than a buck.
Nice. Glad EE came through for you. I also wish there were fewer companies resorting to policies that would prevent them from helping their customers in ways like EE seems to be helping you.
