Alright, MYOG gurus.  The question is: can this concept be used to make a quickly inflateable packraft or sleeping pad?  Next question: anyone with sewing skills, time, and silnylon (I’m assuming that’s the fabric used) want to give it a shot?

Looks like it closes with a rolltop, or something very similar.  I’ve had a very similar idea for a raft for a while, to be made out of silpoly PU4000 (because of it’s very high hydrostatic head and ability to be sealed with seam grip).  PU-coated side facing out, so that it’s patchable.

I made a small test bag a while back and I think the concept is sound.  I don’t know when I’ll have the time to actually make a full-scale version.  But it should be a simple and easy project when I get around to it.
