So, I have a BearPaw Pyranet “1.5” with a heavily damaged thin cuben bathtub floor, any ideas how I should proceed using it? I believe there’s so much general wear that just patching the holes will leave me with perpetual leaks.

I’m trying to decide between relying on polycryo for a water barrier and living with the leaky floor, or potentially replacing the entire bathtub floor with seconds silnylon (I would have to pay someone to do this…any takers?)

I got this thing relatively inexpensively (compared to original retail) at $50, but with the floor in this shape it needs work before being used.It is perfect for me however, just the right size and silnylon lower-walls to block wind and rain. It fits two of my tarps, and I’m hoping it’s salvageable.

Thanks for looking and please share your opinion.

    Locale: Mid Atlantic

the silpoly from ripstopbytheroll makes a nice floor. Not as slippery as regular silnylon. A bathtub floor is easy to make. layout your floor on the material and add say 6″ plus seam allowance of 1/2″ to 1″. You can fold the excess at the corners in so that you have no seams at the corners to leak. Cut the old floor off and roll the netting into the seam of the tub. Really pretty easy.

Thanks jimmyjam. The lower edge of the wall that I’d need to attach is actually silnylon, not netting, but that shouldn’t make a difference.
