Not receiving email notification of posts to subscribed forums/threads

I am subscribed to the general backpacking, philosophy,food, and chaff forums as well as a number of threads. I am not receiving notification of general posts to any of the forums I have subscribed to; only 2 of the several thread I am subscribed to are even isted under my subscriptions. Am I doing something wrong, or is there a problem of some sort with the software?
