No Options Appears in “Email Notifications”

When I go to my profile and try to adjust my email notification preferences (like say for subscribed threads) there are no options visible. I can choose to “Save” but nothing else shows up. Would prefer to get less emails – I do not need one for EACH reply to a subscribed thread when a thread is really popping off.
