If MSR do not state quite clearly that the canister can be inverted, then it is not an inverted remote canister stove.
There is a short metal tube leading to the jet, and under mild conditions this might get warm enough to allow some inverted operation, but I would not trust it for that without some extensive testing.
So 830 g and $260 for a remote canister stove which is not really usable in the snow. REALLY??? Blimey. Good tent stake hammer.
Who would buy that???
Update: the 830 g includes the large pot. However, there are two nearly identical versions of this stove except that the pot for one of them does not work with the other one. I guess the idea is that you have to buy the whole kit each time. Marketing genius.
(For reference, my V3 remote INVERTED canister stove is ~90 g and $140.)
