Have a custom SWD pack that I love. Didn’t get it with a hipbelt but someone was recently generous enough to pass along a belt from the GG Kumo pack. Problem is the webbing sizes are different. Anyone have any idea of a peice of hardware I could use to attached this webbing to this webbing loop? Figure I can just break the small hardware to get it off. Thanks!

Sew a short tail (4-6”- enough to double back) of 3/4” webbing onto the hip belt. A couple of bar tacks should easily suffice.

Thanks, the heardware is for something smaller than 3/4″. Are you just suggesting sewing a strip of whatever fits through the hardware to the strap and connect it that way?

    Would somethign like this work?

Yes, sew on a webbing tail of whatever fits through the current buckle.

Those locking tri-glides work great for lots of stuff, but I think the largest size they come in is 1″ (I could be wrong). I’m guessing the belt you want to use is 1 1/2″, and you need to shrink that down to 1/2″ or something to connect to the buckle on the pack? The most solid connection would be a webbing strap sewn to the end of the belt you want to add using the existing pack buckle. If you have a sewing machine and some scrap webbing, this is free, 10-minute job.
