I have been using the “lighterPack” spread sheet online. Is there one, similar to this that I can download as a template for use on my local Window device, WIN10 (XCEL 2016) ? There used to be one on the Backpacking Light web site. Yes I am willing to pay, nothing in life is free, I just cannot find one that is nearly the same. Microsoft does not have one online, and most of the others are check lists only, with no weight calcs within the formulas for each category of items. Any ideas on this one ? There has to be one out there, and I am too old to do it myself.”

I’m no XCEL expert, but I made this template from a spreadsheet that used to be on BPL. (I think you should be able to download it from the link.)

Not sure if being able to work with your gear/packing list in MS Excel is non-negotiable, but I thought I’d take this opportunity to plug packwizard.com (I have no connection).  I find it the best tool as it does everything I need and plays nicely (display) on mobile/iPad.  You can import a lighterpack URL, but I don’t see an export to xlsx.

Thanks, for these two sources, I will get to work on them.

I used to use the one from BPL (I think it was a competition) and it was really good.  I really liked using MS Excel but broke down and went to lighterpack a couple of years ago.
