I want a long #3 water resistant zipper for a project I’m working on and I can’t find anything over 46″ online. Is it possible to find the metal components to make your own separating zippers or does the whole process involve special equipment that a DIY’er can’t do at home?

This is a non waterproof #3 separating coil from ZPacks. Is it possible for the layman to attach metal end pieces to by the foot coil? If so where can you find the parts?

I just looked on Questoutfitters website and they say you can’t make separating zippers from continuous coil. I checked out all of zippershipper’s stock earlier and they don’t really have anything that would work.
