I read some horror stories about Duplex tents torn and collapsed in high winds. One example is this poor guy whose 0.72oz CF Duplex has torn in very strong wind (he got a 1.00oz tent free of charge from ZPacks).
Another example is this poor guy who wanted to test his Duplex in high wind:
I’m trying to understand are there any mods that could help with wind resistance?
there are sticky loops that could be attached to tent shell and more tie-outs could be used
maybe use another poles to support vertical pole (so they form an “A” frame)
Anything else could be done to extend the range of wind conditions where ZPacks is still usable?
Thanks,
Greg.
