Okay, asking a potentially silly question, but obviously a 15lb weighted blanket is 15lbs of weight to carry. Not desirable by a long shot, but they’ve made a big difference for me sleeping-wise at home.

Does anyone have experience or luck makeshifting anything to function that way (ie maybe a blanket they add soil or pebbles to at the campsite, and then empty as they’re packing up each morning)?

    Locale: North Woods. Far North.

Checks calendar.  No, it’s not April First.

We’ve had an Advent Quilt for the kids since they were young with 25 pockets in it.  You could stitch your own or purchase one online:

Add a bit of Velcro to the top of each pocket and then put a rock or ziplock containing 8 ounces of sand into each pocket when you arrive at camp.
