Looking to hike the Lost Coast beginning June 23rd from Mattole to Shelter Cove and have a quick question on tides (living in Dallas, not my speciality…):
Should I be taking into account a time offset from the NOAA Shelter Cove times while I’m further north? I’ve seen a couple of posts alluding to “deducting the proper time” or something like that but I have not been able to find what the proper time is. I assume this is because it changes.
For reference I’m using the two tide tables below (which basically say the same thing just in a slightly different format):
