I’m building a new all-in-one gear tracker, called Greer, that helps you track your gear, packing lists, and trips. I’ve been a long-time user and a big fan of lighterpacks but I’ve been wanting something more in tune with the iPhone ecosystem, so I decided to build it (hopefully I won’t have to use my computer for prepping gear much longer).
Some key features that Greer has right now:
Pack lists save in airplane mode (unlike websites), and update once you have internet again (iCloud sync)
Gear-only tab to see all of your pieces of gear (can be reused throughout packs)
Super UL/ UL/ Light/ Heavy weight classes for each pack
Each gear can have custom quantities in a pack
Customize default units for packs and gear
Assign trip dates to each pack
Light and dark mode
More modern/native to iPhone looking than alternatives (at least I’d like to think)
My long term vision for this app is to build a planner and tracker for all your backpacking trips. I am looking for beta testers for the app. As a thank you, you’ll get a discounted rate for when the app launches ($10 for a lifetime vs. $5 monthly subscription).
You can sign up here for the Testflight (email only used to provide discount rate at launch, if you wish to stay private feel free to use a dummy or funny email address). Please let me know if you have any questions or feedback below.
