Knowing what a total UL geek/nerd I am, my girlfriend saved this little folding spoon from a fast food meal she bought for her son awhile ago. She had thrown it in the trash but as an after thought she pulled it out and saved it for me. She doesn’t remember which one now but we’re working on it. 1.69 gm/0.060 oz , 4.2″ long. We laughed long and hard at how pleased and amazed I was with it, one of the highlights of our first weekend camping together and her first ever!folded spoon

Not the most durable and practical for sure, but cute as hell!

Wow, that’s really small.  And must be really light.  Functionally, how does it differ from a stiff oak-tree leaf?

Functionally it is different from a rolled oak-tree leaf in that it is longer, smooth with no prickly edges, can be folded and unfolded repeatedly, reused endlessly, and found above alpine treeline. And it’s just plain fun!

Would be great for stirring coffee or doling out measured amounts of sugar for tea. I want one.

There must be some lower limit on the weigh/size of a usable spoon. This non-folding bamboo example from a box of chai is definitely too small to be useful, despite weighing about 2 grams:
