That’s a nice pack and I think ULA’s durability means you can likely use it for a long time. Enjoy.

    Locale: Alaska

I have probably used 20 packs or more including many that I made myself and a couple that were custom made. Party this was because my needs changed.

I tried an HMG pack for packrafting. It was okay but I don’t think it was worth the premium cost. I think the SWD packs looks like a good alternative.

What I’ve been using for almost everything since 2016 has been a Seek Outside Unaweep 6300. I got it for packrafting trips and it worked so well I used it on a bunch of weekends when I could have technically used a lighter pack. I also made my own pack bag that fit over the Unaweep frame with a lighter harness system. It was okay but usually not worth the weight savings.

I think SO now has some sub 3 pound packs using the same frame as the Unaweep but geared towards backpackers not hunters or packrafters. I would highly recommend them. An added bonus is their pack material doesn’t soak up water. Nice in rainy places.
