I curious to know if any crew has used Jetboils at PSR with success. If so, how many and what size containers have your used? Have you seen them in the backcountry trading posts?
My son experiences allergic reactions to gluten so I’m concerned with cross-contamination during meal preparation so I’m thinking of having him bring one along for his exclusive use for mission assurance.
Any thoughts or ideas out there are greatly appreciated.
I haven’t seen a crew use Jetboils in the backcountry. But I have seen adults use them for coffee and individuals with food allergies use them for individual meal prep.
We used isobutane canisters for our crew last year. We didn’t have a problem getting fuel at trading posts. For an individual using a Jetboi, you might be able to make it through trek on a single, small canister.
