…5/31 – 6/3…maybe 6/4. HWC. Land of uphill both ways, poison oak, and all the ticks you can handle. Looking to get some exercise, test/swap gear, see some scenery and get hang time before the water dries up. I usually TH from Headquarters and can use my van as a resupply or swap out gear. I have a few usual haunts. If anyone is in the neighborhood, give a shout or PM. Maybe we can meet up to break bread and/or camp. No worries no hurries. ~RL
Not to sound too much like a trip report; successful, good weather with some wind, kit is dialed in with wiggle room, water is there but less so than a month ago, shin splints. Had fun. Fourth time doing the Sada’s Spring, Los Cruzeros, Ridgeview loop. ~RL
Hi RL, I try and backpack Henry Coe at least a few times a year, usually in the winter and spring. I would be up for a trip with you this winter or next spring. Let me know if you’re still up for that.
Cheers,
Justin
Hi! I realize this is a year-old thread, however, I moved out to the North Bay about a year ago, have hiked HWC twice, and know I will be going back often. Looking to do the Big Loop in spring ’24.
Hey Zachary, any interest in hiking HWC the weekend of August 25-27 and stopping by GGG 2023? It’s always nice to meet fellow UL hikers.
Hey. Just saw that thread after a posted here. I have something else that might conflict. Trying to make it all work out as I’d love to come. I’ve had a bit of time finding people who want to do more than one or two nights or 12+ miles a day.
Hope it works out. It would be great to see you there.
