Hello everyone.
First post in a while, but I’m back with a different account, (but still a lifetime member).
Going to be selling a batch of kids quilts. They will be made from the Costco down throws and consist of a double layer.
Main body will be a straight taper from 45 inches at the head to 35 inches at the feet with a 60 inch length. The foot box will be sewn up 25 inches.
For use with a baby, the top will fold over the sewn, seam free footbox to create an 8 layered 7 inches of cocoon loft.
The next stage as they grow will be with the top half (open part) that folds back over itself down to the 25 inch sewn foot box. This will make it a 42 1/2 inch width and 42 1/2 inch length with 4 total layers on the upper torso. There will be a pull cord on the top for this length as well.
Last will be the full 60 inch length, 45 inch width with a pull cord on top.
There will be plenty of snaps so it can be snapped up and used as hoodless sleeping bag if preferred.
It should be 19 ounces with 3.75 inches of total loft and be able to get down to 30-35 depending on what they’re wearing. It won’t be quite as warm as an adult quilt with that thickness just because it has plenty of wiggle room. The double layer will help with drafts a lot more than a standard quilt.
I’ll take orders as soon as I get them as well as getting some photos up.
Price will be $60 shipped.
