As Josh Leavitt told me over a year ago, “Zinke is a fake conservationist.” So damned true…
I was raised in Montana, where Zinke was from. Up there, the Republican notion is that more jobs is a good thing, and that oil and gas is a better investment than recreation and resource management.
We have to find some Udall to run for president and get this country corrected, and more centered on preserving what precious resources we have.
I’m not from Montana, but my impression of Zinke before his appointment and consequently after is that he’s consistently been a shill for petrochemical companies. He likes to present as a “conservationist,” but this Colorado-boy sees through his pretend cowboy time as an affectation of white privilege.
