What is your favorite “comfort”, or “fun” food in a resupply package? Something you would eat or drink on the spot or shortly on the trail.

One is earthy salty, one is coconut sweet and chocolate rich, both are to die for, even in the front country.

    Locale: North Woods. Far North.

Especially if using a fixed-rate Priority Mail box (in which weight doesn’t matter), a can of peaches, green beans, etc, can be eaten right at the post office, and the can discarded there.

Although not fresh, they travel well, are cheap, and most of us are low on fruits and veggies while on the trail.

We smoke a lot of salmon and while I’d never pack it into brown bear country, I’d mail it to myself for consumption as I hike back to the trail.

If it hasn’t been in the mail long, brownies.
