Dyneema at Rockywoods

I saw this announcement on Rockywood’s Facebook page yesterday, thought some MYOG’ers might be interested:

We have more Dyneema® on the way. We’re bringing in several more composite fabrics, as light as 0.5 oz/ sq yd for tents and tarps, a woven great for packs and bags, Dyneema® Denim perfect for motorcycle jackets and pants, and a 220D diamond ripstop that many would know as the more tradition Dyneema® fabric.
With our new agreement with DSM in place, Rockywoods Fabrics will be the place to go for your Dyneema® needs. More info to come…

John, thanks for the update. so in the future we’ll see products using Dyneema Denim/220D by the MYOG’ers here.

I don’t know about Dyneema Denim for MYOG’ers here, but the lighter cuben fiber variants typically used for shelters are getting harder to find. Some places that used to sell it no longer do (Quest Outfitters, ZPacks). And it seems to be perennially out of stock at others (Ripstop by the Roll, Yama Mountain Gear). Dutchware Gear has the 0.51 osy variety, but that’s about it.

I’m disappointed to see that the “woven” they mention is just DCF hybrid. I was really hoping for a true woven dyneema to finally be available for yardage purchase.
