I would like to make my own Durston stargazing kit for my Ex-mid 1 tent. Has anyone gotten or know what plastic buckles are used on the tent , and where to buy ? I’ve looked on Amazon , but don’t see the specific type .
The tent comes with everything you’ll need. Just remove your peak guylines from the fly, and for each side tie one end to the buckle at the top of the inner (I like this quick release knot), wrap it around the pole tip a few times at the proper distance (or use a clove hitch), then stake out the end along the ridgeline, all done.
Its how I stargaze my Xmid2 and it works great with no extra weight
