@Dustin V how does the Cnoc Vessica do as a dirty water bottle? Do the stiff bottom and top interfere while squeezing?

I use my Vessica as the clean bottle. I got a Vecto bag and filter as a kit, so I use that for dirty water. I scrunch the Vessica before squeezing the Vecto so there’s less burping needed.

I would think the rigid bottom and top would make squeezing dirty water out of the Vessica might be good ergonomically until the top and bottom meet. There would be a fair amount of water you couldn’t squeeze out. Also, I’d worry about putting too much pressure on the welds between materials.

Ditto the Vecto bag. Simply the best dirty bag I’ve ever used. Comes threaded for either Sawyer Squeeze or Katadyn BeFree, makes collecting even still water fast and easy, squeezes easily with a simple roll-down action, rolls up small for easy packing.

How do you like drinking out of the Vessica?  I’ve also got the setup with the Vecto and a plastic bottle previously but recently purchase the Vessica.  People seem to complain about drinking out of it, but at least in my practice it doesn’t seem all that difficult.

Phil, I like it. I pop the Vessica in a shoulder strap pocket and just squeeze it without taking it out, most of the time. I’m casually looking for a long straw that I can slip through the drink cap, but if the water is low enough that I can’t squeeze it out, it’s time to filter more.
