I’ve sewn up the three sides envelope style. Any recommendations on how I can easily sew the top? I know I can roll over the exposed edges and then sew it all together but that will take some time to hand stitch it all so it stays neat. Any other methods to hide the raw top edges?

First, you have to sew through three layers – top, insulation, bottom – to keep the insulation from shifting and creating a cold spot

Then, just fold in the top and bottom to hide the raw edges, and sew a row of stitches.  There’ll be a 1/4 or 1/8 inch strip of just plain fabric without insulation, but this is a minor aesthetic issue.

Thanks Jerry. That’s pretty much what I was thinking. I guess I can use that extra plain fabric as a shock cord channel too.

    Back to work!
