I recently purchased a Clarkii Rod for my Ruta Locura Hiking poles. It is supposed to enable me to use my hiking pole for the biggest section of the rod to create a 11ft pole with decent stiffness. Any suggestions for using it for bigger fish?? I have almost zero knowledge in the area of fly fishing, but live next to one of the best fishing rivers in North America for King, Red salmon, Dolly Varden, and trout. Any suggestions on the heaviest way I could set this up to have a chance at catching them?
