I was going through some tubs upstairs when I came across some of my Dad’s old law enforcement gear (he was a conservation officer). Some of it definitely need laundered, so that’s how I spent my day. I thought you all might find this piece interesting. It is a typical zip-in quilted liner, but it had a waterproof (failing now) zip-over vest that was between the outer and liner. Vest zipped over the quilted liner and the quilted liner zipped into the jacket. I assume this was to add wind protection and rain/sleek protection to the torso as it was a winter jacket. I had never seen this configuration before, so I though that I would share this old school concept with you DIY’ers.
