Normally I would make my own sauce but I have this glass jar of Vodka sauce and I was thinking of dehydrating it for using in a meal for an upcoming  trip. Would this be ok or not such a great idea.. looking at the ingredients.. the cheese and milk???

Well, you would certainly lose all the alcohol in the Vodka, although there may not be much there as ‘Vodka’ comes second last in the list of ingredients.
    Other volatiles? Dunno.

    Cheers

Looks like the milk is all in the cheese.  And those cheeses are stable.   I’d  eat it dehydrated.

Perfecto!! That’s all I needed to hear! Lol. Just a jar of Raos vodka sauce.. it is pretty good for a jar sauce though.. if you need a quick fix or can’t make your own sauce.. Anyway.. I’m gonna do it. Thanks!

Raos Tomato Basil has no cheese in it. Would it keep better that way? Then just bring some cheese separately.

Being commercial sauce, it would dry just fine. I would however use it up in a few months, rather than a year or two for non-dairy.

Thankyou! Planning on using it within a few days.

However,  now I have decided to not even cook for this trip. Since I am going solo, I will most likely just cold soak and keep it real simple, fast and minimal.
