I’m looking for a small (0.5L) collapsible/flexible bottle to use as a bidet and to put boiling water in for a foot warmer. I’m currently using the Common Gear bidets from GGG, so 28mm opening with threads that fit a Sawyer.
Platypus: used to make a 0.5L bottle, but I cannot find them anywhere now. CNOC: their smallest boiling water approved container is 1L. VAPUR: their 0.5L has some oddball thread pattern, doesn’t fit my bidet. Evernew: got one of their 0.5L, but couldn’t get a reliable seal with the bidet. Very inconsistent.
1L size containers are aplenty (platypus, CNOC), but I wouldn’t fill it all the way up for heating my feet and I certainly don’t need that much water for a bidet.
Thanks for your help!
Feb 9, 2025 at 11:07 am #3828245I use a nasal lavage bottle (available at your pharmacy) for a bidet. It is just right for a bidet – the right amount of water, easy to control, can be squished in your bag when not in use, but way too small for warming feet. It seems like those two things are a bit cross purposes, since your feet would need something much larger than the water needed to wash your tush. I had one of the old .5 L Platypus bottles; I would find those incredibly annoying for a bidet, because you can’t control the water flow very well. And after they lose a bit of water, they’re so floppy. You could probably find a used one though, since no one likes the one they have.
How about down booties for your feet instead? But maybe you have a real need for a hot water foot warmer, sorry. If so, you might need two things.

Works with my CuloClean. Currently sold out from the vendor I used, but they’re available from many other Temu vendors. Search Temu for ‘folding water bottle’ or ‘folding water bag’. Look at

Flexible container is great for this purpose, to fit in my pack. A firm bottle might work, but it has to be able to handle boiling water. If so, that Nalgene bottle looks promising.
I have down booties, but they don’t warm my feet up when they are really cold. At least not for a couple of hours. Hot water bottle trick works in 5-10 minutes, amazing.
The Temu bottles do not have a temperature rating, and I found the Culo Clean to have too much flow for my taste.
I may just go with a 1L size bottle and just roll it down for bidet use, and just have empty space for foot warmer use.
Feb 10, 2025 at 3:30 pm #3828318I just got an email that Cnoc is now selling a flask that can handle hot liquid. It’s called the HydriamX.
They have a 28mm thread version, which looks the same as the Vessica bottle. The only bidet I know that works with the Vessica is the Holey Hiker bidet. Not sure if that’s too much specialized gear, but it may meet the requirements.
