I have a Caldera Cone ti Sidewinder with the optional Inferno insert that makes it a double-walled “gasifier” wood burner stove like the Canadian BushBuddy.
BUT… unlike the BB, the Sidewinder and larger Tri-Ti stoves let the fitted pot sit down into the stove to conserve heat for more efficiency.
And in alcohol burner and ESBIT burner mode the pot sits even further down, conserving more heat and letting the sides of the pot use the heat. After all, alcohol and ESBIT fuels, with their low energy density, need all the help they can get.
So I’m suggesting that BushBuddy owners make an attachable windscreen for the burner area to capture heat that would otherwise be lost.
