Looking for a quick way to add hummus to my savory snack category, so going through previous threads I only noticed one regional brand (along with recommendations to add a packet of olive oil, etc..). Â Any other brands, preferably national chains or chains in the western US, to recommend?
Should be easy to make and edible
Bonus for incorporating traditional Middle Eastern flavors so I don’t have to  … like Buffalo sauce, Sriracha, etc….
Harmony Valley instant hummus is delightful. I mix plenty of olive oil in. Cayenne and/or a true lemon packet work well for variation on longer trips. Sunflower seeds are great in it as well.
Best backpacking dinner I’ve ever had was all of the above with some fresh wild onions near McClure Meadow spread onto our last two flour tortillas.
I was looking for something like this once and had added Casbah Hummus to my cart at Amazon. I never ended up ordering, so I can’t say how it is… and now it appears out of stock. Matt K’s recommendation of Harmony Valley seems to get good reviews on Amazon though.
