Articles to bring/leave behind

I’m looking for comments from Philmont veterans.  What item or items do you wish you would have taken?  What do you wish you would have left behind?

This is a Backpacking Light forum, and my gear was minimalist and light.  But the luxury items I carried were:

• 3/4 length zrest to go under my 3/4 length Prolite pad
• Thermarest seat that doubled as my pillow
• MSR mugmate coffee filter
• 1 lb Peets Major Dickasons coffee

Item I should have left behind:

Goretex lined shoes. We had so many stream crossings, I would have been better off with mesh footwear
