Hi,
I’m trying to work out logistics for a Wonderland Trail circuit that starts next week. My wife and I (from Seattle) will be hiking anti-clockwise from White River, doing the full circuit, with a friend from Portland joining us for the first leg, White River to Mowich Lake. It would save us 2½ hours on our first day if we could avoid dropping our resupply bucket at Mowich Lake, instead leaving it somewhere between Puyallup and Enumclaw, for our friend’s husband to pick up on his way through to pick up his wife. We would drop it there on the way from Seattle to White River, and he would pick up on his way from Portland to Mowich Lake… Dropoff would be between 10-2 on Thursday July 19th; pickup would be between 9am-1pm on Sunday July 22.
Obviously we could just get up earlier and drop it down to Mowich ourselves, so it isn’t critical, but would save a fair bit of time and gas if it was convenient to leave it at someone’s place instead…
Thanks!

I’ll be on the mountain at the same time, but not any place convenient for your purposes. (nor by my rough calculations would we pass each other and get to say hi). Have a great hike!
Jul 11, 2018 at 1:05 am #3546312It’s not ready yet, so too late for shipping. Still dehydrating food, and organizing stuff…
We’re doing it slowly, taking 12 days. Looking forward to taking lots of time to smell the
roseslupine, explore, and relax in camp. We’ll be on the mountain July 19-31. Can’t wait! Climbed it three years ago with my wife and kids (15 and 18 at the time); this will be a different way to appreciate it :-)Hope you have a great trip too.
Jul 11, 2018 at 1:20 am #3546315good call on taking your time. I went two years ago during the walk-up free-for-all and signed up for an overly ambitious itinerary. Sore knee took me out before I could finish the westside.
Now I’m chipping away at section hiking it with my 8 year old daughter. She got up to Summerland last year!
