A combined hiking and packrafting adventure, beginning in the Eastern High Peaks region of the Adirondacks and including the Opalescent River, Hudson, Essex Chain of Lakes, Cedar River, and more Hudson, including the legendary Hudson River Gorge. This was one of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had in the backcountry.
Thank you for sharing your packrafting adventure with us.
Had you ever previously filled up your dry suit legs in a swim?
My old packrafting dry suit is a Kokatat Light Weight drysuit (no longer made). It has a neoprene neck with a bungee tightner. In a long swim I average only about a half cup of water getting in with the bungee tightened. That amount gets absorbed by my clothing and nothing pools in my legs.
something I would love to do in my kayak one day. Thanks so much for sharing.. Great story telling also. Would have loved to see some videos of running the rapids and that hole!!!
