I was at REI yesterday, and noticed that they have $50 off all SPOT messengers. I think it runs until Dec 24. That means the Gen 3 is only $100 (plus the subscription). That’s $175 LESS than the Garmin InReach Mini. Yes, the Mini has much more functionality, but if you only want to be able to send a pre-programmed message, this might be a solution.
