your local conditions!  I need to know where to go as soon as possible!

I am in agriculture, and this year we started early, and went late. Which means I got hosed for my late season trip!  So, all you local guys out here in the west, is there any or beginning High Pressure Systems formed, or forming over some of the destination ranges, where a late season week or so trip could still happen?  I’m pushing parameters because I know any storm means its over, and days are much shorter etc.  But for many who have had an Indian Summer kind of trip, it is worth it to look!

So, I’m looking for help! I am finishing harvest on Tue the 4th, and could be at a trail head somewhere on the 6th pretty easily.  I would love to have a main focus on remote high quality fishing, and off trail portions. I am also open to an invitation to join myself, or to join another group who might have plans already in place.  I just really would like to get out and be as safe as possible this time of year!

So here’s to hoping I can slip in a great late season trip!  Thanks everyone

    Locale: Oregon and Washington

weird weather this year, sometimes it’s hot when it’s normally rainy and vice versa.  Oregon, Washington, Northern California

I usually get an October trip in alpine area of Oregon, and November in Trinity Alps.  Little snow then.  You just have to watch weather reports and find a week when the weather is good.  Plan on low temps below freezing, but should be above 20 F.

December through March has good periods but at lower elevations

last weekend I spent two nights in the Eagle Caps, and it was gorgeous, but you could tell it was on the verge!  Thanks!
