(Reuters) – Grizzly bears at Yellowstone National Park are emerging from winter hibernation weeks earlier than normal because of the arrival of spring-like weather, with warmer-than-usual temperatures and rain instead of snow, a park spokesman said on Tuesday.
It's been mild. Great hiking weather at the other end of the Rockies, so imagine our black bears will be up a coupla months early. Related: saw a woman in a bikini walking down the side walk a few days ago before the last front – guess the rest of the summer clothes are still packed. She had a large white T-shirt on, so it is still officially winter, I guess. Of course, she violated the never wear white after Labor Day rule … young people today heavens to Betsy.
