Hello all, I wanted to share me and my wife's gear lists for a short section hike were doing from Springer Mountain to Unicoi Gap the first week of may this year. We will be resupplying at Mountain Crossings and will do the trip in 4 days so will be doing around 15 miles a day, we like to hike all day so this will be a relatively easy trip. Which is what my wife requested. I will be carrying the cooking gear and gear repair items. we have not purchased the TAR Evolite sleeping pads yet but we want to try them out, if we dont bring those we will bring regular neoair xlites and save 5 oz each. Take a look at the gear lists and see if you see any room for improvement or anything you would like to add. Thanks in advance.

I don't really have any opinions on your gear lists, they look pretty good. What I would like to see is some photos of that wasabi Burn!

    Chad,

If you want to be taken seriously, perhaps you would reconsider trying to shove a CR123 as a spare battery into your Photon Freedom light?
I have brought this up with you previously on this same forum, but you seem incapable of learning….

Also, some of your weights are off. For example, I have never heard of a version of the Montbell Tachyon windshirt weighing 1.85 oz – unless yours has the hood, the sleeves, and the torso all completely worn off…

Otherwise, the list is just peachy. Just inaccurate.

    Ivo,

Montbell website lists the Tachyon Anorak as 1.9oz.

    Tachyon Jacket as 1.6oz.

You are right on the battery I just have not gotten around to changing it. The wind shirt weight is accurate. I weighed it myself I'll change the battery post haste. Sorry if it bothers you that much

I thought people list weights in their gear lists which they have measured themselves.
What a manufacturer lists is irrelevant, due to sizing differences.

It is great that the newest Tachyon has now been confirmed at less than 2 oz, my apologies for questioning this.

That would be awesome to run into you. You can't miss the wasabi burn going down the trail so if you see us definitely introduce yourself.
