Has anyone else tried these? So far I've tried one flavor, and it's one of the, if not the, best tasting bars I've ever had. I've ordered the mixed pack so I can try others.
Jan 27, 2015 at 3:06 pm #2168712What flavor have you tried?
Jan 27, 2015 at 3:13 pm #2168715The smooth caffeinator. Very tasty.
Jan 27, 2015 at 6:16 pm #2168791I just looked at their website to see what they're all about. It looks like one of the ingredients in all of the flavors is crispy brown rice cereal, or what I imagine is a healthy version of rice krispies. Since rice krispie bars send me running to the rails, no matter how jazzed up they are, I'd like to know from someone who's tried them how prominent the rice cereal is. I may just continue to make my own version of Sarah's cranberry bars that I've made about a million times.

It's not all that prominent, IMO. It provides a nice texture, but it's nothing like a Rice Krispies bar. Hopefully the below pic will help. It's of the All-In Almond

Jan 28, 2015 at 6:12 pm #2169129I should add that I first came across them while doing a walkabout in REI, so if you have an REI nearby you should be able to just buy one to try.
Edit to add: one of the things I like about these is that unlike many vegetarian/vegan bars, these don't have that excessive oily feel to them.
Jan 30, 2015 at 7:56 pm #2169930I've tried all 4 flavors. The Smooth Caffeinator is definitely the best, I found the others more bland. The Blueberry's not bad. I like the fact that they don't make me feel heavy and dragged down like some bars. They are not a bad texture in the cold, either–both Kind bars and Zing bars can be hard to bite off a hunk in the winter. Way better than Lara bars, too, and not overly sweet.
