For those interested in down quilt projects, here's the blog post for a labour of love I finished a few months ago.

    That looks really nice

6 inch wide baffles, 2 inch deep baffles. I see they bow out quite a bit. What do you think the actual loft is?

Have you slept in it? How does the M50 feel against your skin?

Incredible quilt and incredible journey to make the quilt. Your patience paid off. Looks top notch!

Nicely done. I also went the hand stuffing route, but with one less step. I put the giant bag of down (still in the bag) into a box, which I then put on a scale, and just used subtraction to figure out how much down I had used.

@Jerry Not sure about the loft. M50 is silky against the skin. However, I am only using this quilt in colder weather, so I usually have a top of some sort on. I also use a liner to reduce the amount of dirt/sweat getting to the quilt.

    Thanks!

Good idea. There's a lot of arithmetic in these sort of projects!

You should start your own Quilt Company because that Quilt looks so darn good. If you're Australian I guess you could use the quilt in Tasmania or parts of Victoria or fly to New Zealand. It looks too warm for the desert.
