I tried to consolidate my various season gear lists into a single list for simplicity of review and packing. This covers me between about 20C and -20C for 2-4 day trips, primarily in the northeast USA.
A couple things don't appear on the lists – for instance, if I am going out with the skis in flat terrain, I usually use a homemade pulk – but generally this is my system.
Comments welcome and appreciated.

Maybe you omitted it on purpose, but I don't see any type of water purification.
Dec 29, 2014 at 12:21 pm #2159853Great point. Forgot about that. I carry Aqua Mira 90% of the time and a Katadyn Hiker filter the rest. I'll add a line for that. Thanks!
Dec 30, 2014 at 4:41 am #2160042Nice list and layout Christian. I have a question for you about AquaMira drops..do you love them? I am seriously considering using them on future trips instead of the sawyer/sawyer mini.

Dec 30, 2014 at 6:39 am #2160057Love? That's a high barrier to surmount!
I find Aqua Mira a little fiddly – you have to mix the two solutions and wait a couple minutes for it to turn yellow – and then add it to your water. And then wait half an hour before drinking. On the other hand, it's cheap compared to similar products, the yellow color indication that it's ready to add to the water is potentially helpful, and there's no unpleasant taste.
In short, I find it works fine. And is lightweight. And available on Amazon Prime. Let's call it a Junior High School crush, or something.
Dec 30, 2014 at 7:34 am #2160070yeah..love, lol…like would be better. As long as the taste is not a factor, thats my main concern. I dont want the taste of my water like a chemical. I have it, so I guess I will test it out and see for myself.Thanks.
