Got about 8"of snow in the Spring Mountains two days ago. Another 3" to 4" coming tomorrow.

It's beginning to look a lot like winter backcountry skiing and camping!

    What's yer situation?

Well, we now have about 2 ft. of snow in the Spring Mountains with more expected New Year's Eve. (And even snow expected in the 'Vegas valley!)

So I'm waiting for the next big storm to test my winterized Moment DW. I'll go up on a ridge to get some real wind.

Snow fall warning in effect for Northern BC and Yukon in the coming days. 10-20 cm's of snow expected. woohoo!

We had a bunch of snow early here in the East (NY) and we got some great early season downhill skiing in. But that was followed by a big time December thaw and a major rain event. Now there's not much in the Cats, nothing farther South, and any white in the woods up North to Southern VT is pretty hard. Been going over all my gear, and hoping for some favorable weather!

Youse guys just trying to give me feelings of jealousy?

So far it has been a miserable (or maybe miserly would be a better word) snow year in MN

300 miles away in the UP is the closest deep snow

But the eastern US is getting blasted with the snow and sub-zero temps I want!
