Not only do I want to do some alpine and tele skiing at the Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort but I really want to use my new Moment DW in a good snowstorm in the Spring Mountains to see how well my mod of running the X-ing pole inside the fly works for handling a snow load.
I'll be camping around 9,000 ft. on the Bonanza Peak Trail and use my tele skis to skin up to camp.

I'm trying to fit my winter gear into my new Osprey EXOS 58. So far everything fits inside except my Thermarest Trail Pro mattress which straps nicely to the bottom of the bag. That pack is sooo comfortable.

So what is your 1st winter trip going to be?

1st winter trip is next weekend with my two
buddies, the 3 of us will share a Hilleberg Kaitum 3.

Plenty of snow around last week but all melted now.

May Snorre, the Norse of of snow, bless you with 1 foot of "Hollywood snow"* and make your trip beautiful.

*Hollywod snow – just enough snow to look great (and make you look great while skiing) but not too much to deal with.
