    Hi Bob

There is a very good chance that what happened to you was that the various caches along the way had not been refreshed with the updates. You need to tell your browser to go all the way back to the source and really reload the page from there. How to do that depends on the browser.

Otherwise you might just be getting a stale version from your local ISP – without the updates.

    Cheers

    Thanks, Roger

All I had to do with Chrome was clear browsing history. Duh.

Just posted a 12lb list from a recent two day hike in Presidential Range. -10F, pushing -20F list here, let me know what you think:

Finally I am satisfied that I've done everything I can in my quest to trim the sleep kit as much as possible while remaining warm and comfortable.

The TR Neoair Trekker and TR/RR Solite CCF were incredibly warm together at 0°F, so much so that it was a little too much for that temperature, which got me thinking a lighter CCF might work and that I could reserve the Solite for sub-zero. The Solite (w/Velcro strap) weighs 15.77 oz while the 1/4" CCF pad weighs 7.71 oz.

I carried the lighter CCF pad on a recent overnighter where the temperature dipped unexpectedly very close to 0°F, and perhaps a little below. The lighter pad worked fine and has earned its spot on the gear list. Clear evidence of its effectiveness is that the following morning there was very little melted snow under the groundsheet, indicating very good heat retention.

Summing up, the pad set-up, EE Enigma 20 and Exped pillow and supplemental straps weigh a total of 45.15 oz, which is 2.82 lb. I can live with this!

Back in the trad days we didn't put things on scales very often, but I am sure that I have used sleep kits that weighed close to 3 times that weight, if not more.
