I've worn these for a bunch of hikes and one backpacking trip so far. As I understand it, Cascadia's are a shoe of choice for many thru-hikers, and I can understand why.
Light by nature because they're a trail runner but certainly not minimal and "ultralight". Great neutral, cushioned feel so if you have decent mechanics this will work well in allowing you to do your thing.
I also found the short break-in time to be a plus. I have an average length foot that's slightly wider than average and these fit to a T. Will be buying them again…
