    Here's what I'd change:

use a lighter Smartwater or Gatorade bottle
add map, compass, plastic/pealess whistle, emergency tinder all carried on-person
backup firestarter (on-person): lighters fail unpredictably
use a #1 Mora instead of Leatherman
cut down on those heavy keys
consider sunglasses if traveling through open areas
    bear bagging cord?
consider using sticks instead of stakes in forested areas with soft ground

bivy: not needed except for bugs. Borah Gear makes a nice-looking bug bivy, but you could maybe slide by with repellent and a head net depending on your bug tolerance.

    Rain Jacket?

    +1 on a lighter knife.

I like my MLD bivy, but of course there's the wait time w/MLD unless you get something used. I like to use one with a quilt, rarely zip up all the way. And it would allow you to ditch the groundsheet.

Could manage with a lighter shelter – open to a tarp?

Could shed a couple ounces on a more minimal headlamp. (on my to-do list)

Are you open to alcohol stoves? FF or Caldera Cone.

I sometimes leave the phone behind, depending on if I can get a signal at the TH or if there's a secure place to leave it.

Totally forgot to add my rain jacket on the list. It's edited into there now. I really like the golite hut. I am very interested in the MLD bivy. Just waiting for the funds to afford one.

    Thanks for the feedback!
