    Locale: Central Valley of California

We're in central California, almost always hike in the Sierra and the coast ranges, I've been evolving this list and have come to an end point. This is good for up to 6 days in areas where bear cans are required. I know people hike lighter…any thoughts?

Individual weights from my kitchen scale that reads to the closest 0.25 oz, when I put it all in the bag and wear my bag then subtract by own weight, I get 9.2 lbs:

Z-Packs Arc Blast backpack + whistle 19 oz
Katabatic Gear Alsek 22deg bag 20.6 oz
Thermarest NeoAir XLite, S 8 oz
Goosefeet gear down pillow 1.7 oz
    Bearikade Scout 28 oz
Snow Peak 450 mug 3 oz
Sea to Summit Alpha long spoon 0.25 oz
Water bottles + Sawyer mini 5 oz
    Z-packs microfleece beanie 1 oz
Spare socks (2 pair, one for sleeping) 3.25 oz
Mtn Hardwear down hoodie 6.75 oz
    Rain/bug jacket/pants (Zpacks) 7. 8 oz
    1 spare panties 1 oz
Arc'teryx long underwear set 6 oz
    Possum fur gloves 1 oz
    Clip-on headlamp 0.25 oz
    Packtowel + 1/4 bandana + washer + carabiners 0.75 oz
    Bug headnet 0.5 oz
    My half of shared items:
Z-packs Hexamid tent + repair kit 22.25 oz
Toiletry/sunscreen/DEET in mesh bag 11 oz
    Items worn or carried
    OR Sunrunner cap 2.8 oz
    Kuhl convertible pants 11 oz
    Railriders adventure shirt 6 oz
    Socks (Darn Tough) 1.75 oz
    Icebreaker underwear 2.2 oz
    Brooks Cascadias 22 oz
    Coolibar sun gloves 1 oz
    Sunglasses 2 oz
    Watch 1 oz
    Trekking poles 9.9 oz
My partner is carrying the other shared items Jetboil + fuel, first aid kit, maps and the syringe to clean the Sawyer Minis (we each have our own Mini).

    Cheers,
    Arla
