So I think I'm going to take the plunge and order one of these for my Hexamid. I've used polycro for my groundsheet, but I don't get a bathtub floor with this option. Which would you pick? Is the regular solo groundsheet a better groundsheet than the poncho groundsheet? I'm not very sold on the idea of a poncho, but might consider it. The way I see it is that my rain jacket serves as a wind layer to keep me warm as much as it does to keep off rain. In fact, I'm more likely to need wind protection from cold than I am rain protection on most trips.

Randy Cain detailed another option –

    BathtubFloor

"As Dale pointed out, you could do the same thing with a polycro sheet or any other material that floats your boat."

You can find the details Here .

You dont really get a bathtub floor with the poncho either.

Unless you disregard the hole in the middle of it…..
