This is about 30 minutes from where I live. Tough for the guy's family. Sure hope they find him soon.

Wow. Sounds kind of suspicious to me. Especially about the friend searching for 2 days before notifying anyone. What about the dog – did the dog come back? Guessing the cops are asking this guy a few questions. Or maybe I have seen one too many episodes of Law and Order. New idea for another spin off – Law and Order: Wilderness Crimes Unit.

Well, that area of the Sespe Wilderness is pretty remote. Depeding on where they camped, it may have taken him almost a day to hike out. Maybe a day waiting for him to turn up? Who knows.
